PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

For 7 years, Kayla Jo worked with the product development team at Boom by Cindy Joseph, (now Boom! Beauty) consulting on the creation and development of 10 successful makeup, skincare, haircare and styling products. 

 

Boom! Beauty is recognized as one of the first “Pro- Aging” beauty brands, with a philosophy centered on embracing aging while prioritizing sustainability in its ingredients and packaging. As part of the product development process, we 

used Credo’s Clean Beauty standards as a guiding framework for ingredients Boom sought to exclude from its formulations. 

 

Kayla participated in weekly product development meetings and regularly visited cosmetics laboratories and industry trade shows, collaborating closely with formulators and the development team from concept through production.

Her contributions played an important role in expanding Boom’s product line and refining products to meet the brand’s performance, aesthetic, and clean-beauty standards. 

 

Among her key contributions was helping develop Rose Nude, Boom’s first new Lip to Cheek shade in more than a decade. The color sold out of its initial production run in less than 18 hours, demonstrating strong consumer demand and the success of the new product. 

 

Kayla loves collaborating with product development teams and helping to bring a brand’s vision to life. Its very rewarding to take an idea from initial concept and working alongside a team to turn it into a thoughtful, beautifully executed product that people love.
